Privacy Policy

IpQuery.Info is operated by Yakware, Ltd. ("we", "us"), a company registered in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what data we process when you use our website and IP intelligence API, and the lawful basis for doing so under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
1. Data we process
Account data
When you register we store your email address, an encrypted (hashed) password, and billing/subscription metadata. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.
API query data
The core of our service is the lookup of IP addresses. When you call the API we process the IP address being queried (the one you supply, or the address the request originates from) to return geolocation and network intelligence. For analytics, we record per-request metadata — the resolved country, subdivision, city, coordinates, currency and time zone, together with the API key used, an optional tag you provide, your account ID, and a timestamp.
Technical data
Like any web service, our servers keep operational logs (IP address, request time, status) for security and performance monitoring.
2. How we use data
- To provide IP intelligence responses to your API requests.
- To produce the usage and geographic analytics shown on your dashboard.
- To enforce plan quotas, rate limits, and prevent abuse.
- To manage your account, billing, and support requests.
3. Lawful basis
We process account and API data to perform our contract with you. We rely on legitimate interests for security monitoring and abuse prevention, and on your consent for any optional analytics cookies (see our Cookie Settings, available from the Help menu).
4. Data sources & attribution
Our enrichment combines several third-party datasets. We do not redistribute these raw databases; we return derived results per query. This product includes:
- GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.
- IP geolocation data from DB-IP (https://db-ip.com).
- Network registration data from the RIPE NCC database (https://www.ripe.net).
5. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with processors that operate the service on our behalf (hosting, Stripe for payments, email delivery), under appropriate data-processing terms.
6. Retention
Account data is retained for the life of your account and a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. API analytics records are retained to power your historical dashboards; you may request earlier deletion. Operational logs are rotated on a short cycle.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@ipquery.info.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.

Privacy Consent
Product Analytics records coarse page, click, scroll, error, milestone, and conversion signals. Session Replay is a separate choice and additionally records a masked copy of page content and interactions; form values are masked. Replay remains disabled unless this product has explicitly enabled it.
Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control disables both. You can change either choice at any time from the Help menu.
